2025 UCG Summer Camp Highlights

This summer marked the fourth consecutive year that the Urban Coders Guild (UCG) summer camp was held at the University of Tulsa (TU), thanks the our continued collaboration with our Computer Simulation and Gaming (CSG) program. This initiative has become a vital bridge for underrepresented youth, offering them access to cutting-edge technology that might otherwise be out of reach.

2025 UCG Summer Camp – Students working on Game Development projects

This year’s camp served 104 students across two locations. Programs included Web Development, Cybersecurity, and Unity Game Development at the TU, and an Intro to Python camp offered off campus.

At the heart of this success are the instructors who dedicated their time and expertise to inspire the next generation of tech leaders. Among them was Bridget Kurr, a graduate from our very own CSG program. Bridget’s journey through TU’s CSG program not only highlights the value of these programs but also sets an example for current students.

Beyond the summer camp, UCG remains committed to fostering tech literacy through its after-school program. Open to both middle and high school students, this initiative offers a continuation of learning opportunities, starting on September 8th at Langston-Tulsa.
