With so many organizations sharing their missions today, it can be difficult to decide where to give. At Urban Coders Guild, we understand this. We also know that what we offer is truly unique in Tulsa, and that your support today can directly change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

Urban Coders Guild is the only nonprofit in Tulsa that provides direct, year-round computer science and technology programming to middle and high school students at no cost. Our work is one of one. Without us, the opportunities we create simply would not exist. While our mission focuses on expanding access for Black, Latino, and Indigenous youth who have historically been excluded from STEM pathways, our programs are open to all students. We intentionally foster a community of learners where young people from different backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to grow together.

Honoring Tulsa’s Past and Preparing Tulsa’s Future

Tulsa’s history carries both brilliance and pain. The story of Black Wall Street shows what is possible when opportunity and innovation thrive within a community. Its destruction reminds us how deeply generational access to opportunity can be disrupted.

Urban Coders Guild is part of Tulsa’s ongoing work to repair that legacy. We equip students from underserved communities with the technical skills, confidence, and mentorship needed to pursue college pathways, industry certifications, and high-growth careers in technology. As Tulsa positions itself as a growing tech hub, we believe the city’s future must include students who have often been left outside the innovation economy. Their creativity, culture, and perspective are essential to the future we are building together.

Real Learning, Real Community, Real Transformation

Our students design websites, build mobile apps, create video games, and explore cybersecurity through hands-on, project-based learning. They receive access to laptops, software, internet, and supportive mentorship. They engage with caring adults who believe in their potential and with like-minded peers who share their curiosity. This environment matters. It is where students begin to see themselves as capable and where learning becomes joyful.

Families tell us that these programs change more than technical skills. Parents share that their students flourish as STEM learners when they are supported by dedicated instructors, real-world opportunities, and a community that encourages them to succeed. Students gain confidence, develop persistence, and begin imagining futures they once believed were out of reach.
