Urban Coders Guild Is Now Recruiting Students for 2021-2022 Afterschool Programs!
We are looking for middle and high school students with a strong interest in computer science and coding. Previous experience is NOT required, however, some typing and/or coding experience is welcomed.
What’s in it for our students?
Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to build websites, develop (iPhone & Android) mobile apps, and create their own digital games.
Students will also learn other key tech industry skills including:
Collaboration
Entrepreneurship
Human-centered design
Strategic Problem Solving
Project Management
Students who successfully complete the program will receive:
A professional resume and design portfolio
A certificate of completion
(3) Credit hours towards an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science at Tulsa Community
One year subscription to premiere online learning and digital design & development platforms
Internship and paid apprenticeship opportunities
Awesome incentives for completing project milestones throughout the year
Each student will have the opportunity to engage meaningful with Tulsa area tech companies and industry leaders.

Program learning tracks:
Android App Development
On this track, students will learn to design and develop their own Android apps. This is an advanced track recommended for students that have some previous coding experience.
iOS App Development
On this track, students will learn to design and develop their own iPhone and iPad apps.
Unity Game Development
On this track, students will learn to design and develop their own digital games. This is an advanced track recommended for students that have some previous coding experience.
Web Development
On this track, students will learn to design and develop their own websites.
Students who have previously completed a program learning track are encouraged to apply again this year for a different learning track.
Capacity: 20 students per cohort
Grades: Middle & High School (Grades 6 - 12)
Duration: Mid-September 2021 – Late April 2022
